Mental health support for women, teens
and autistic individuals
Counselling with Sandra
I offer counselling for adults and teenagers seeking calm, clarity, and connection — whether you prefer to meet in person or online.
Each session is a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what’s happening in your life with kindness and curiosity.
I have a special interest and professional focus in autism and neurodiversity, offering an affirming, strengths-based approach for both autistic and neurotypical clients.
Counselling for Women
I provide in-person or online sessions for women from my home-based practice in Mount Barker, South Australia. These sessions offer a warm, private, and nurturing environment where you can talk freely and feel supported.
Many women come to counselling to work through:
burnout and emotional exhaustion
anxiety, depression or lack of purpose
self-esteem and confidence issues
relationship challenges
life transitions and identity changes
anxiety or a sense of being “stuck”
Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you, help you reconnect with your strengths, and gently build the tools and self-understanding needed to move forward.
For Parents
Is your relationship with your teen falling apart?
Maybe they've stopped talking to you. Maybe every conversation turns into a fight. Maybe you're worried about their mental health, their friendships, or their future—but they won't let you in.
You're not alone, and you're not failing. Adolescence is genuinely hard to navigate, and most parents aren't given a roadmap.
I help parents:
Understand what's really happening beneath the anger, withdrawal, or rebellion
Rebuild communication and connection with their teen
Navigate conflicts around school, technology, independence, and boundaries
Support teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or identity questions
Understand and support neurodivergent teens
After 30 years in schools, I've seen what works—and what doesn't. Together, we'll find ways forward that honor both your concerns and your teen's needs.
For Teens & Young Adults (Ages 13-20)
Feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or stuck?
Maybe things at home are tense. Maybe you're struggling with friendships, school pressure, or figuring out who you are. Maybe you feel like nobody really gets what you're going through.
I've worked with thousands of young people over 30 years, and I know how hard it can be to talk about what's really going on—especially with adults. My job isn't to fix you or tell you what to do. It's to listen, understand, and help you figure out your own path forward.
I can help with:
Family conflict and communication breakdowns
Friendship and relationship struggles
Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed
Identity, self-esteem, and belonging
School pressures and life transitions
Understanding yourself if you're neurodivergent
Sessions are confidential (with a few legal exceptions I'll explain), and we work at your pace. You're in control of what we talk about.
Autism and Neurodiversity Support
I provide counselling for autistic and neurodivergent adults and teenagers, using a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
This means I focus on understanding, acceptance, and practical strategies that honour each person’s unique ways of thinking and experiencing the world.
Together, we can explore:
burnout, masking, or sensory overload
identity and self-acceptance
relationships and communication
workplace, school, or study-related stress
life transitions and change
You don’t need to have a formal diagnosis to seek support — I welcome anyone who identifies as, or relates to, neurodivergent experiences.
NDIS and Accessibility
I am an unregistered NDIS provider, which means I can offer counselling to participants who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS.
If you are self- or plan-managed, you can use your NDIS funding to cover counselling sessions with me.
Taking the First Step
If you're a parent feeling lost, a teen feeling stuck, or a family ready for change, I'd be honored to support you.
