General Counselling

While I specialise in neuroaffirming counselling for autistic adults and teens, I also offer counselling support for adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, and life transitions.

Sometimes people seek counselling not because something is “wrong,” but because life has become heavier, more exhausting, or harder to manage alone.

Alongside my specialist work supporting autistic adults and adolescents, I also offer general counselling for adults seeking support with anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions.

My approach is calm, collaborative, and paced to suit you. Sessions are a space where you don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to justify being there. We work together to understand what’s happening for you and what might help things feel more manageable.

Areas of support may include:

  • Anxiety and ongoing worry

  • Stress and burnout

  • Low mood or emotional exhaustion

  • Life transitions (study, work, relationships, identity changes)

  • Emotional regulation and coping strategies

  • Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what you need

Counselling is not about being fixed or pushed to change faster than you’re ready for. It’s about building understanding, safety, and practical ways forward that fit who you are and the life you’re living.

I work with adults and teenagers both in person in Mount Barker and online, and offer a supportive, respectful environment where you can show up as you are.

If you’re unsure whether general counselling or autism-specific support is the best fit, you’re welcome to get in touch to talk it through.
