About me

Hello, I’m Sandra

My name is Sandra, and I am a qualified counsellor with a background in secondary education, where I supported many students navigating mental health challenges. I am autistic, as is my daughter, and this lived experience strongly shapes my work. Over the years, I have developed practical, compassionate strategies for managing autistic burnout, sensory needs, and the cumulative impact of living in a neurotypical world.

My counselling practice focuses on autism-specific support, grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach. I am a clinician who understands autism not only through training, but through lived experience, respect, and shared language.

I am based in Mount Barker, offering both in-person and online sessions for adults and teenagers across South Australia.

Autism and Neurodiversity Support

In our work together, I offer a neurodiversity-affirming space where individuals and their family can explore their experiences openly, without judgement or expectation. I understand what masking costs, and what sensory overwhelm feels like.

Whether you or your loved one is newly diagnosed, experiencing burnout, or you're trying to understand how to navigate some challenges — my aim is to help everyone feel seen, supported, and empowered.
